Missing Video Effects: Workaround

Current versions of macOS have a bug that causes video effects such as Background, Portrait, and Studio Light to not work if there is no window with an active camera preview on the screen.
In Yasla, this is the case if the Audio & Video window is closed or minimized, or if the Preview during recording option is disabled.

If you want to use video effects, try this workaround:

• Leave the Audio & Video window on the screen
• Enable the Preview while Recording option in Settings ➝ Interface
• If an active preview is distracting, collapse the Camera Preview section in the Audio & Video window.
