macOS 26, Intel-Macs, Liquid Glass

Status December 2025

macOS 26

There are currently no known issues regarding Yasla with macOS 26 Tahoe.1

Intel-Macs

Unlike Apple, I currently have no plans to discontinue support for Intel Macs. As long as it is technically feasible and supported by the development tools, up-to-date versions of Yasla will continue to be available for Intel Macs.

“Liquid Glass”

With its x-26 operating systems, Apple is introducing a new look for the user interface with simulated glass elements, usually referred to as “liquid glass.” However, Apple seems to be focusing mainly on iOS; in macOS, this is still immature and, especially in professional applications, impairs usability. Until this is improved, Yasla will continue to use the current interface style.

  1. Please do not take this as a recommendation to switch to macOS 26 immediately after it becomes generally available. If possible, I recommend waiting until version .3 or .4 is released.
